HIT Alert: San Diego Serial Rapist Caught

Here is another success story about a woman who fought back during an attempted sexual assault - and the ‘perp’ was caught. This story hits home as we’ve followed this guy over his long string of attacks.

HIT Tips: Safety Tips for Summer

Summer is right around the corner. I thought this would be a good time to cover some basic safety tips. The daylight hours are getting longer and we tend to find ourselves out later and later enjoying summer activities: exercising, camping, parties, etc. Here are a couple of reminders:

A. Keep your guard up. Have fun, but remember, be aware of your surroundings. If you’re exercising outdoors, keep the headphones (music) off. Also, don’t over fatigue yourself - something that’s easy to do as the days get hotter.

ESCONDIDO —- A 22-year-old woman used a hot cup of coffee to fend off an armed assailant during a violent struggle in a parking lot Friday morning, police said.

We have two items to discus: both stories have to do with a couple of women who fought their way out of an attempted rape. One was in Pacific Beach (San Diego, CA) a few weeks back. According to the local news, the predator watched her from a car (at night). As she approached, he got out of the car and attacked her - she fought back (I believe she stuck her fingers in his eyes among other things) and yelled.
